Yarn Along

Knitting: I know, I know, I am still working on Griff’s sweater- but I swear, it’s almost done! I finished up the bottom while knitting in the car when Shaun and Griff went shopping. I have now moved onto the sleeves. I promise to not show this knit again until it is being modeled by a very cute four year old.

Reading: I have really been enjoying reading since I got the iPad. I held out for a long time. I was always saying “I love the smell of paper, I can’t imagine not holding a book in my hand.” So quickly things change. I knew from the first book I read on the high resolution screen (Gone Girl)┬áthat I was hooked. I can even make the fonts big enough that I don’t need to wear my reading glasses! It’s the little things really. Don’t worry, I still have a stack of paperbacks that need reading, but for now, I am enjoying my new toy. Oh, about the book, State of Wonder by Ann Patchett. This is a quick read about a woman who ventures to the Amazon to find out details of her co-workers death. In the process her past comes back to haunt her. So far, I am enjoying it.

What are you working on? Reading?

I have been on the fence about State of Wonder so now I know to go ahead and order it. I am glad you are enjoying your new toy! :)
I am looking forward to seeing your little four year old in his mama knit sweater!

I’ve been seriously considering getting the iPad too… so portable! And the sweater looks like it is coming along beautifully. I’m about to start one for Maya and I’m crossing my fingers that I can complete it before the twins arrive!

What a lovely blog space :)

Don’t worry about the sweater taking ages to do – I know exactly how that feels! Let’s keep at our projects :)

Also, I totally agree with you on the iPad. I totally love mine. Now I like books both in electronic and classic tactile form :)

I have to say, I wasn’t convinced for a long time. But then I didn’t want to just get an e-reader because the majority of my reading is blogs (as you know!) This was the solution for me. It also has so many great apps for finances, productivity and educational games for the kid. I honestly am not sure what I did without it! I can’t wait to see the sweater for Maya- I can’t believe how big she is getting! xoxo

Let me know what you think about State of Wonder – I’ve been also meaning to ask you if Cherry was good?
