Tuesday’s Space – Plant Containers
13 Mar 2012
I’ve been inspired by unique plant containers lately. I love fresh flowers and want them in my house. Last week, I thrifted this milk glass urn for $2.00. I planted some bulbs that were almost bloomed from the local grocery store, placed them in a tray from the clearance section at Target, added some thrifted candle sticks from Christmas, some bread plates for height and wallah, the perfect Spring centerpiece.
On the same thrifting day, I also found this adorable glass dome. It had no base, but after a little digging, I found this silver plate to go with it. I added the little plant I had planted in an old pewter sugar dish with the left overs from my terrarium adventure.
Lastly, as a hostess gift for my aunt, I reused the vase she brought to my cookout last summer (it was FILLED with kale for Kale Chips!) You’re not suppose to return things empty right? I turned it into the cutest little open terrarium. It’s bloom is so fragrant and should fill air with scent. I added a few decorative eggs around the inside of the vase to give it a little more color. I thought it came out adorable and she loved it. And the best part? She can plant the bulb outside when the bloom is done so that it comes up again next year!
What kinds of things are you planting your Spring in?

These are soooo great. I especially love your thrifted finds. I need to search for some milk glass. So pretty.
