Asparagus, Prosciutto, Roasted Peppers and Fontina Panini

2 Jan

For Christmas my Mom got us a new kitchen gadget! It’s the Cuisinart Griddler. Oh my goodness, I cannot express enough how much I LOVE THIS GADGET!

Our first panini feast was right from the griddler’s recipe book.

The Asparagus, Prosciutto, Roasted Peppers & Fontina Panini

The Fontina was tossed with “Herb de Provence”, which I needed to add to my herb cabinet. That was one I didn’t have on hand. The other ingredients are just stacked on (I may have added  more than it called for!)

As they sizzled and steamed, the smell just filled up the kitchen.

Ah- Panini Heaven! A perfect gadget addition to my kitchen. Thanks Mom.

Oh you would get a lot of use out of it Tracey. It also lays flat for pancakes and all. Oh- and you can buy the waffle attachment!

Yum! We love paninis, but don’t have a contraption like that. Is it easy to clean? Does it dry out the food? I used to have a George Forman grill (a present from someone), but gave it away because it dried out the food too much. And a pain to clean.

TOTALLY easy to clean. That’s what I like best about it. We use to have the George Foreman Grill and felt the same way. These plates are removable and pop in the dishwasher! Seriously. They are awesome.
