Back to School
26 Aug
Griffin headed back to school three days a week. He was so excited to join his friends again.
He is all dressed up and sporting his Thomas Backpack containing his Spiderman Lunchbox.
He is so proud of his backpack. He can now put it on and get it off his back by himself. He is all ready to go. I am not sure I am as ready. It’s so hard on the days he is not here. I know I should be enjoying my freedom, but part of me feels like my right arm has been lopped off. I miss him when he’s gone. When I drop him off at school, he can’t get rid of me fast enough. “Bye Mom” he’ll say as he waves and runs into the classroom. I sadly wish I got a hug and leave. When I pick him up, he sits on the floor in the hallway protesting going home.
I am glad he enjoys school so much. It is so great for him to socialize and learn from the older kids. But I know it’s just the beginning of him growing up. People always say “enjoy it, it goes by so fast”. It really does…really fast. He’s become quite the little boy. He’s smart like his Daddy and creative like his Mommy. He’s the best little buddy around. I am doing all I can to capture these moments. I know they will pass quickly, and I want to remember them forever.

Thank you for following my chronicles on knitting, sewing, photography, cooking, wine and whatever life brings. Cheers!

It’s amazing how fast it goes…my baby is 13 but it seems like I was just holding him in my arms yesterday….hee hee although I still try!:) What a cutie you have!
Awww … he’s so adorable!
