Light & Abstract

1 May

This is the last photo assignment from the group at candcphotography. For this one, I pulled from a few different sources. I did not concentrate on one subject. I found the best from a few different subjects and a few pictures I really enjoyed that I have taken over the last few months. I am sad this is the last assignment of this series. I really enjoyed it and plan on signing up for the  next one. I hope you have enjoyed my pictures as well.

Assignment #3: Light & Abstract

#1 Get as close up as you can to your subject, play with light.

This bee was one of my most difficult subjects. They only sit on a bud for 2 seconds. My 35mm does not have a macro lens, so I used a simple digital point and shoot to capture the macro images in this project. I took about 20 shots. This was the best shot. I got his wings and him perfectly perched on the flower.

#2 Take another image and crop until you get and abstract feel to it.

This was also taken with a simple point and shoot. This is a rose I got for my birthday.

#3 Try a different angle or focus on a different part of your subject

This is the aloe plant next to the roses I got for my birthday. I love the spots and spikes.

#4 (for many it is rainy season) Find a puddle and capture the reflection

This is a reflection picture I took a few months back. It is by far my favorite picture I have taken with a reflection thus far.

#5 Now a Landscape shot

I can’t help but keep my favorite subject in all my shots. Even my landscapes!

#6 Your choice- favorite picture from assignments and why

The color project was my favorite project of this series. My favorite part was Griffin playing with the strawberry. He was so good at holding it out and not eating it while I took the shot. We had a lot of fun with it and I think it shows in the images captured.
