Two for Tea

When at Mimi’s house, we tried some simple mint steeped in boiling water then cooled for ice tea. It was so yummy that I decided it was time to cut some herbs from my garden for tea. So me and my QC Director cut some mint and lemon balm.

I rinsed all the herbs and set them to strain as my QCD prepared the glass jars.

Lemon Balm, passes inspector #1

Mint also passes inspector #1.

Once all was ready to go, we mashed up the herbs with our hands and put a little of each in the jars.

We poured in the boiling water and let cool on the counter, then I chilled them in the fridge. I had some today, and it was SO tasty. I have many other tea recipes, but this one was perfect for a quick refreshing summertime drink.
